International Elite Education Corporation (IEEC) invites applications for part-time, remote Instructors in French.
IEEC is a family-run consulting firm that promotes international education, cultural exchange, and youth mobility between North America, Europe, and Greater China for students of all ages and at all levels.
Successful candidate(s) will be expected to teach Advanced Placement (AP) French Language and Culture, International Baccalaureate (IB) French B, and/or British Columbia secondary Core French Grade 8-12. Alternatively, successful candidate(s) will be expected to engage in the preparation of French language proficiency exams, such as DELF/DALF for academic purposes, or TCF-Canada/TEF-Canada for immigration purposes.
Requirements:
· Native French speakers from France, or other Francophone countries
· BA degree in French Studies, Applied Linguistics, French as a Foreign Language or a relevant field
· Significant teaching experience in aforementioned subjects and/or exams
· Native written and verbal communication skills in French, as well as an excellent command of English
· Able to demonstrate established competence in French language pedagogy, technology-assisted instruction, and knowledge of current issues and methods in teaching French as a second language
· Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
Assets:
· MA degree in French Studies, Applied Linguistics, French as a Foreign Language or a relevant field
· Good understanding of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and how it relates to languages courses in a Canadian secondary and/or post-secondary educational context
· Good understanding of the Canadian immigration system
