Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $20.22 – $25.28 per hour
Shifts: Weekdays; Monday - Friday
Status: Temporary Full Time (1 year)

Position Summary
The Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology (DMOH) at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is the most extensive program in Canada and is among the largest in North America. Our program supports extensive clinical, translational, and basic research initiatives including an extensive clinical trials program. Additionally, the DMOH endorses a comprehensive training program attracting both national and international fellows.
The
Receptionist, Medical Oncology and Hematology plays a key role in the division. The main function is to act as a resource for patients, support staff and providers to ensure the smooth operation of the office. .
Duties
- Manage physician schedules with the hospital locating system
- Manage the main phone line for the division and triage calls as needed
- Assist with mail and fax sorting
- Act as a timekeeper for support staff for payroll puprposes
- Monitor and order office supplies and equipment as needed
Qualifications
- Completion of Secondary School or recognized equivalent
- Completion of a recognized post-secondary office/medical administration program at the certificate level or equivalent an asset
- One (1) year related support experience
- Experience working with EPIC EMR is preferred
- Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing in a Microsoft Office environment is preferred
- Experience working in a health care environment is an asset
- Fluency in a second language is considered an asset (e.g., French)
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Able to operate effectively in an interdisciplinary team
