WHO WE ARE:
As the world leader in virtual care, Teladoc Health is passionate about taking care of people. We have been providing care in Canada for over two decades to more than 9 million Canadians and 85,000 plan sponsors. We deliver care across 190 countries (over 51 million members globally), living our mission to empower all people to live their healthiest lives by transforming the healthcare experience. Levering digital technology, we provide whole-person care that spans every stage in a person’s health journey from wellness and prevention to acute care to complex healthcare needs. Our Canadian team has doubled in size over the last two years, and our growth is expected to rapidly continue as we transcend the landscape of future healthcare.
Teladoc Health is increasingly partnering provincially to offer publicly funded services in an integrated manner, such as our recent work supporting primary and emergency care across Newfoundland and Labrador. In such settings, we are intent on delivering a first point of contact to comprehensive, coordinated and continuous patient care, helping provinces integrate and expand their virtual primary care & acute care visions.
Teladoc Health is growing rapidly across the country, with a special focus on scaling up our Teladoc Acute Care Team (ACT). We are looking to build on our current team of Hospitalists and Emergency (ER) Physicians for our virtual programs as we scale our clinical impact further.
Teladoc’s ACT is in essence a pan-Canadian Rapid Response Team (RRT) for hospitals comprised of emergency and hospitalist physicians and flow coordination teams. Just as classic RRTs helps patients avoid reaching critical state, so too do Teladoc’s provincial ACTs help health systems avert emergency department and in-patient unit closures.
