Position: Sales Associate (FT opportunities)

Thierry Busset is widely regarded as one of the finest pastry chefs in North America. Our shop boasts a stunning room featuring classic chocolates, macarons, cakes and pastries; all items are hand-made daily using only premium ingredients. Barista-crafted espresso and liquid chocolate beverages are also a central part of the cafe, complimented by a selection of sandwiches, soups, and savoury offerings. We are also licensed and offer a selection of wine and spirits to complement our wide array of products.
The Sales Associate role is the first point of contact our customers have when they come to Thierry. We are looking for individuals who are friendly, outgoing, organized and have a genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to make a memorable customer service experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(Other duties may be assigned as required)
- Actively engage with guests, cultivating relationships and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Provide expert and detailed information on our product line
- Assist customers with orders; anticipating their needs, offering suggestions and answering questions
- Handling customer transactions
- Maintain a fully stocked, tidy and clean environment
- Process cake orders and pick ups
- Close down and set out cash till at the end of the night
- Assist with patisserie packaging and refresh display products
- Bus tables
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is an asset
- Completion of Secondary Education
- Serving It Right Certification
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task and have an eye for detail
- Organized and able to work under pressure in a very busy environment
- Ability to work flexible hours as required (early mornings, weekends, nights and/or holidays)
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
