Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Accounting team, reporting to our National Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will be meticulous, possess excellent time-management skills, and have a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Update and maintain the general ledger.
- Reconcile entries in the accounting system.
- Assist with and process bi-weekly payroll.
- Support A/R and A/P functions.
- Provide support to the Accounting Manager as required.
- Perform data entry and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in an accounting role.
- Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
- Ability to report to the Vancouver, BC office regularly or as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for this role.
- Preferred experience in public practice.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and other accounting software is a plus.
