What is the Private Client Service group responsible for?
An exciting opportunity is available to join our Client Engagement team, which is responsible for delivering efficient and effective services to our private wealth clients across Canada. As part of our client-centric strategy within Canada Distribution, you will collaborate closely with the client service teams to deliver world-class service and ensure an exceptional client experience.
In this role, you will partner with marketing, global distribution support & operational functions, investment & product teams, and related third parties to deliver high-quality service bringing client knowledge and insight to all request and support activities. A focus on efficiencies is essential; you will be tasked with introducing new and innovative ideas to enhance current processes and improve how we service clients.
As a Private Client Services Associate, you will be client-focused and responsible for delivering high-quality service to Private Wealth clients, working hand-in-hand with the local client service teams.
What is the Private Client Service Associate responsible for?
The Private Client Service Associate is responsible for the day-to-day administration of client relationships for private wealth clients in Canada.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Private Client Service Associate?
- Client Service: Assist with a variety of tasks, including requests for proposals, account opening, coordinating client meetings, proactive service activities, preparing meeting material, responding to client inquiries, process documents and correspondence.
- Manage and respond to requests from clients, working with internal partners to ensure client’s expectations are met and responses are handled professionally and efficiently
- Support a team, including the Associate Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Managers with a variety of daily tasks, special initiatives and projects.
- Provide insights to the distribution team to improve the client experience and develop process efficiencies.
- Trade/Account Management: Responsibilities include account set-up, fee and performance reporting, trade submissions, coordinate/track compliance and audit requirements.
- Sales Support: Coordinate sales meetings, preparing presentations and sales materials.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- University degree or equivalent relevant financial services industry experience
- 5 years’ experience in the mutual fund, banking, or securities industry
- Canadian Securities Course preferred.
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred
- A sales/ marketing mindset with the ability to identify client needs and position solutions that address those needs
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong multi-tasker who can respond rapidly and effectively to requests
- Positive and proactive approach
- Adhere to established time frames and schedules; ability to organize and prioritize workflow to meet internal and external deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary—designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $45,000 and $55,000.
