The Institutional Portfolio Operations Analyst is a critical part of our firm and clients’ success and is a challenging and rewarding role for the right individual. You will experience the inter-workings of the asset management world and will have the opportunity to advance your skills for future growth and development within Connor, Clark & Lunn (CC&L).
What You Will Do
The Institutional Portfolio Operations Analyst serves as the key provider of accurate investment portfolio data to the entire CC&L family and their clients. In this role, you will:
- Institutional Cash Notice: Process client subscription and redemption instructions daily in preparation for the trading teams.
- Institutional Billing: Process management fee calculations for institutional entities including clients, funds and affiliates on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Assets Under Management (AUM) Reporting: Administer the AUM reporting process, preparing monthly and quarterly reports for Investment Teams, Sales Team, RFP Team and Upper Management.
- Participate in operational projects focusing on automation, efficiency, and the scalability of IPO’s services.
- Communicate critical portfolio information and oversee the flow of sensitive information for all CC&L affiliates.
What You Will Bring
- Investment Knowledge: You have an undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce or a related field and a genuine interest for the investment industry.
- Industry knowledge: A minimum of 2 years of experience in an institutional investment firm, bank or trust company, where you have acquired operational expertise in at least one of the three areas: cash notice processing, billing and AUM reporting.
- Collaborative Communication: You can articulate yourself clearly through both verbal and written mediums and work well with others to resolve complex issues.
- Inquisitive Mind: You have the ability to think rationally, and problem solve effectively.

- Positive Attitude: You are a sharp, self-motivated, ambitious, and enthusiastic person who will seek to improve existing processes and help to implement creative solutions. You are a “go-getter.”
- Technical Skills: Experience using various financial software applications, with an emphasis on portfolio accounting and client invoicing applications. Experience with Excel VBA, Power BI, Smartsheet and/or SQL considered an asset.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe and advanced expertise with Excel.

The base salary range is $69,000-72,000 annually plus a competitive performance bonus. Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
