Designing and implementing innovative manufacturing and packaging processes that adhere to GMP standards
Leading projects to expand production capacity
Serving as an expert in new equipment integration and comprehensive project management
Driving cost reductions through automation and continuous improvement initiatives
Enhancing the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of existing processes
Skillfully managing stakeholders and contractors
Establishing streamlined methods for executing new innovations correctly from the outset
Providing coaching and mentorship to support team growth and development

Primary Responsibilities:

Uphold and embody Riverside’s Core Values
Oversee project initiation, evaluation, vendor selection, and negotiations through to successful commissioning
Manage project elements such as risk analysis, cost estimation, budget adherence, timelines, scope management, and ROI assessment
Develop detailed capital budgets and formal project investment proposals
Draft User Requirement Specifications (URS) for new equipment and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), installation, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Prepare technical bid packages for contractor selection prior to project commencement
Design equipment and plant layouts with an emphasis on safety, ergonomics, efficiency, and optimized material and personnel flow
Collaborate with the Automation Engineering Specialist to address and implement electrical, controls, and network solutions
Facilitate clear communication and effective management of contractors and stakeholders
Establish structured handover processes to ensure project innovations are seamlessly implemented

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 3 years experience in capital project management in the CPG industry (Food Manufacturing preferred)
Passion for the food industry and the field of engineering
Experience working with cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables
Experience working in a plant manufacturing environment
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, PEng an asset
Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office
