S&C is continuing to grow. Where do you come in? We are looking for talented Material Handlers to work various shifts. You will have a passion for innovation and in your field of expertise, enjoys working as part of a team and are committed to helping us become a leader in our industry.
- Day: Monday to Thursday 6am to 4pm
- Afternoon: Monday to Thursday 4pm to 2 am
As a Material Handler You Will Be Responsible For
- Movement, protection, storage and control of materials and products throughout manufacturing
- Servicing internal customers to support production operations
- 80% manual labor, 20% forklift operation
- Picking and packing items into appropriate stock locations
- Movement of parts and material in order to meet production timelines
- Safely operating a Tugger, lift trucks, overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
- Load vans and flatbed trailers using electric and propane powered lift trucks
Who are we looking for? Someone who has
- High school diploma
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Certified on lift trucks including stand up electric forklift, stand up electric reach truck for indoor use as well as propane counterbalance forklifts for outdoor use
- Experience with stacking pallets, loading/unloading trucks, order picking
- Good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Knowledge of Kanban process (considered an asset)
