Onsite only– Scarborough ON
Purpose
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The Senior Accountant has a crucial role in overseeing the accounting operations and financial reporting processes of the company and its subsidiaries.
This position requires someone who is technically strong, is highly organized with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, and someone who is a strong communicator who will proactively partner cross functionally to ensure the financial health of the organization remains in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Operates and maintains all equipment in accordance with SOPs, GMP and follows all safety procedures (PPE & emergency stops) and ensure complete documentation and administration reports, & accurate updating of logbook.
- Setup, operate & maintain Flexographic printer, label printers, coding, & embossing machines with high attention to detail & minimal supervision while maintaining consistent quality & flow of goods.
- To perform and produce accurate labels as per customer specifications, requirements & quantity.
- Ensure all stock & printing components are available daily.
- Proactively work with the designated team/ person in Maintenance teams for any needed repairs.
- Performs quality inspects on printed products to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Keeping work area organized and clean in accordance with the 5S principles.
- Perform duties of Printing Operator I as and when required.
- Cross training & rotation in packaging may be required/ performed.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Skills, Experience And Education
- Highschool diploma or Equivalent is a must, experience in a similar role and industry and/or post-Secondary education is an asset
- Must have WHMIS and GMP training.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a machine/ printing/ press operator capacity, preferrable Flexographic Printers.
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Team Oriented and self-directed
- Committed to Quality, Safety and Communication
- Good trouble shooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability & willingness to learn
- High attention to detail
