Position Summary:
- Anaesthetic Gas Machine Competency
- Technical Knowledge of Operating Room Equipment
- Anaesthetic Administration Knowledge
- Fluid Management/Haemodynamic Monitoring
- Arterial punctures/arterial line insertion/IV Insertion
- Airway Management (Intubation Certified & Airway Adjuncts)
- Staff and patient education
- R.T. Student education and training
Qualifications:
- Must have completed the Respiratory Therapist program
- Member in good standing of C.S.R.T. and R.T.S.O.
- Recent Respiratory Therapy OR experience preferred
- ACLS required
- Knowledge of computers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work various shifts as required, and on call
- Positive work and attendance record essential
- Willingness to upgrade skills through external education
