Summary
Job Summary
Ensures inventory levels on the guest room floors for Room Attendants, maintains the public areas of the hotel and responds to guest requests as directed via the radio and/or other telecommunications device.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year cleaning experience in a hotel or related industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of guests, employees and management.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift weight up to 70 pounds.
Daily Tasks
- Maintain all Public areas. Cleaning all furniture, ledges, floors, frames, hinges, garbage cans, tables, light fixtures, signage etc.
- Cleans turn around areas, all entrances and entrance mats
- Cleans all washrooms, empty all garbage containers as well as wiping and cleaning both inside and outside
- Cleans sinks, partitions, receptacles, chrome fixtures, disinfect all surface areas of toilet and replace supplies as needed.
- Collects garbage from all areas including the hotel grounds and parking lot.
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, chair, shelves and picture frames.
- Clean administrative offices for the hotel.
- Polish all stainless steel/chrome surfaces including all elevators.
- Vacuum public areas and offices.
- Steam clean, spot clean all carpeted areas.
- Keep accurate records of daily productivity.
- Respond to radio calls and/or HotSOS requests with regards to delivery of guest items on the floors such as cots, cribs, towels, etc.
- Prepare required par stock of all linen for guest rooms and Food and Beverage Departments. Ensure inventory for Room Attendants use is stocked for them on floors assigned.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Management.
