Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport products to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods during transit.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and inventory counts.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading processes and inventory management.
- Operate forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading tasks, following all safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery services is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with moving goods.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; additional certifications for operating forklifts are advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
