Newcomer Youth Employment Worker
(Full-time contract until November 30, 2025)
Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status.
We are searching for a Newcomer Youth Employment Worker who work closely with newcomer youth (16-24 yrs.) to conduct training and career exploration for youth.

What you will be doing:
- Design, develop, and facilitate youth career exploration curriculum and training for newcomer youth, including strength discovery, soft/communication skills, employment- and job search-related topics.
- Develop promotional materials and execute outreach plans to promote the program and recruit participants as required.
- Establish and facilitate a Youth Advisory Committee to provide input
- Deliver weekly engaging group and one-on-one activities related to youth career exploration.
- Facilitate appropriate internal and external referrals and access to services in the community as needed
- Participate in the development of a stakeholder engagement strategy to support and enhance project activities, including partnership building and maintenance
- Maintain and update all client information in the OCMS database
- Develop and implement program evaluation activities, incl. pre- and post-session feedback
- Compile evaluation findings and produce program implementation and recommendations guide
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely statistical, financial and progress reports as required.
- Ensure various project activities are delivered on time and within scope.
What are we looking for?
- Post-secondary education in the Social Sciences, Social Work, Employment counselling, Youth and Child Development, psychology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years’ experience in related human services work or equivalent, preferably in the Youth employment sector
- Knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to issues affecting immigrant and refugee communities
- Knowledge of newcomer youth and community resources/services in GTA.
- Knowledge of social justice issues, antiracism-, anti-discrimination and anti-oppression.
- Must be able to travel to other CCS locations and partner agencies
- Fluency in Pashto, Spanish, Bengali, and/or French is considered an asset
Compensation: $29.09 - $32.37 per hourbased on experience
Location: Scarborough, ON
Hours: 35 hrs/week; must be available to work weekend shift, occasional evenings and overtime as required
