Are you a recent graduate of a legal assistant, paralegal or immigration consulting program in Canada with an interest in business immigration law? Position Overview: The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. From scheduling client meetings, to communicating between associates, you will be responsible for completing multi-level tasks in a professional and timely manner.
Responsibilities: Provide administrative assistance to the lawyers of the firm and represent the business professional in interactions with clients:
- Answer phones and direct calls with a positive attitude and an energetic work ethic
- Schedule appointments for lawyers
- Review and respond to inquiry emails, and WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Facebook messages
- Maintain database and storage of client records
- Provide office guests with a hospitable experience
- Research and contact new business leads to assist with business development
- Assist preparing and submitting immigration applications
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: The ideal candidate takes initiative, is well-organized and has the ability to multi-task. The candidate should possess the following:
- A Canadian college diploma in immigration, legal assistance, or paralegal studies
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in customer/client services
- Proficiency in French or Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Proficiency in social media content creation (LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, etc.)
Prior experience in law office administration is an asset.
