We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Payment Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs). This role involves using dialers and other tools to efficiently manage and collect outstanding debts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Engage with clients to negotiate and establish suitable payment arrangements.
- Provide assistance and guidance to clients facing financial difficulties.
- Meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to collections, including but not limited to call volume, promises to pay, and resolution rates.
- Document all client interactions and update account information accurately in the system.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients to build positive relationships.
- Handle client inquiries and disputes with a focus on conflict resolution.
- Work closely with the banking department to determine which clients are in arrears.
- Liaise with clients to discuss catchup payments and arrange repayment plans by way of outbound/inbound calls and emails.
- Monitor repayment plans to ensure they’re being adhered to.
- Monitor cases that are close to failing and work with the clients to avoid annulment.
- Send out appropriate documentation for annulled cases.
- Assist the banking department as and when required.
Qualifications
- Polite, professional, and confident phone manner and experience with dialer systems preferred.
- Good email etiquette
- Ability to work in a fast paced, ever-growing environment
- Strong team player but work well individually and with initiative.
- Experience in numbers orientated environments preferred.
- Attention to detail is essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Previous administrative experience
- Good communication skills with colleagues and clients.
- Basic knowledge of insolvency preferred but not essential.
- Good team player in an ever-growing business
- Proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure in a calm, professional and positive manner
- Understand the importance of confidentiality with access to sensitive information
