JOB SUMMARY
One of our clients in Mississauga, is looking for a Pump Inside Sales Representative. The incumbent is responsible for selling pump products (such as pumps, seals, liquid hydrocarbon pipeline, and other products) and/or services to customers almost exclusively via telephone and Internet (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing, etc.) and act as point of contact post-sale, focusing on ongoing customer satisfaction, retention, and growing business. The Pump Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining relationships with accounts through ongoing client contact and support, responding to client inquiries and offer guidance on appropriate products and services, executing sales strategy, generating sales reports, and identifying opportunities to increase sales volume while ensuring service levels are met, closing sales within territory (All or some of the following cities will be part of the defined territory of the Pump Inside Sales Representative: Oakville, Port hope, Niagara, Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, London, Sarnia, Leamington, Windsor, Chatham-kent, Ottawa.). Also, the Pump Inside Sales Representative works in tandem with the Ontario Pump Outside Sales Manager to achieve sales goals and revenue targets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support customers selling or after sell inquiries over the phone, by video or by email related to company’s products and services,
- When required, sell or upsell pump products and Services over the phone and provide leadership to obtain maximum sales revenues in assigned territory and attainment of business objectives.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain company products and/or services to prospects or current clients
- Collaborate with Ontario Pump Outside Sales Manager to evaluate needs for equipment, resources and tools that will support efficient product delivery to client.
- Meeting with and supporting Ontario Pump Outside sales Manager in gathering information about customer needs and requirements.
- As required, effectively partner with key peers in the organization to assist in closing some sales.
- Through various effective customer centric approaches, connect, build trust, and establish meaningful relationships with current and potential customers in a predefined territory through phone and Internet interactions (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing, etc.).
- Convert qualified leads into clients by effectively engaging them through the Marketing & Sales Funnel via tailored discovery discussions, requirements gathering, and meaningful solutions introduction.
- Optimize customers satisfaction and retention by supporting customers through their customer journey and create sales reports.
- Identify opportunities to cross sell, upsell, and renew contracts with customers.
- Review client’ inquiries documentations to determine appropriate products and/or services selection, including creation of order notations related to exceptions, deviations and rebates.
- Respond to customers’ requests (clarification on quotation, and purchase order requirements).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on company CRM system of all important customer correspondence, quotations, commitments, contracts, etc.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 7 years’ experience of inside sales for pumping products and/or services and with demonstrated success.
- Successful in presenting and selling mechanical solutions to customers in the industrial field.
- Acceptable technical level understanding of a few relevant products from at least three of the following brands (or competitive brands): ARO, PACO, GRUNDFOS, PEERLESS, SACEMI, JOHN CRANES, G&L GOULDS, BARNES.
- Successful experience in customers’ accounts ongoing maintenance and service.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Sales, and/or Business Development, and/or mechanical engineering, and/or or Electrical Engineering, and/or Fire Protection and Safety, and/or Manufacturing, and/or equivalent education/training/experience.
SKILLS/COMPETENCES
- Acceptable knowledge of the Pump, instrumentation, systems Controls and/or Metering fields.
- Demonstrated ability to perform without supervision, and to be self-motivated.
- Good technical expertise, and the proven ability to remain current with respect to industry trends, provincial and federal legislative policies and changes.
- Good negotiation skills, and the ability to close deals.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, and present effectively to others.
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate over the phone and in writing.
- Strong commitment to be at service and bring value to others.
- Ability, and willingness to learn new platforms/applications/solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.
- Ability to demonstrate confidence and establish trust with our customers.
- Ability to transfer knowledge, and mentor others.
- Detail and results-oriented; able to balance multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Positive attitude combined with the desire to contribute to the success of the company.
- Be well versed in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PPT, Teams, Outlook).
