Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant will have the opportunity to support various HR activities, including onboarding, training, employee events, recruitment, and day-to-day administration. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced company with unlimited growth potential, while gaining hands-on experience across all areas of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources or equivalent
- Experience: Entry-level
- Knowledge of common administrative tasks and high proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear and effective verbal and written communication
- Discretion in handling confidential matters and employee information
- Ability to be flexible and to multitask
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check
A sample of what you'll be doing:
- First point of contact for general employee communications (phone, email, etc.)
- Assisting Human Resources team with various tasks and projects, including onboarding, background checks, employee changes, external document requests, etc.
- Updating and maintaining employee records in HRIS, including scanning and uploading documents, entering information, etc.
- Preparing physical set-up for scheduled training and/or employee events, including organizing materials, setting up room layout, etc.
- Communicating with training and/or event attendees, including sending reminders, following up with no-shows, etc.
- Assisting Talent Acquisition Specialist with recruitment activities, such as coordinating interviews and conducting reference checks
Pay Range: $20.68-$21.64/hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, 40 hours/week
Work arrangement: In-person during probation, with the option to transition to hybrid afterward
