Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychological assessment and treatment, particularly with MVA patients. This role involves working in a collaborative environment to provide high-quality patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices to support the mental health needs of our clients. The Psychologist will also engage in research and data collection to enhance therapeutic approaches and contribute to the field of psychology.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for patients and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities tailored to meet the needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare professionals, to coordinate care for patients with special educational needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Engage in research activities to contribute to the understanding of psychological practices and improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in psychology.
Experience
- A Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution is required.
- Experience working with MVA patients in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with special education processes and terminology is advantageous.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis related to psychological research are beneficial.
- Previous experience in patient care, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills.
