Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers. The Cashier will also be expected to promote sales through upselling techniques and maintain an organized checkout area.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience.
- Accurately handle cash transactions, including cash handling and processing credit/debit card payments.
- Utilize basic math skills to ensure accurate change is given and transactions are processed correctly.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services to customers.
- Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls as needed.
- Assist in technology sales by providing information about products and services available at the store.
- Support team members with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Lottery experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math proficiency for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Experience in technology sales is a plus, especially for candidates who can assist customers with tech-related inquiries.

Pay: $17.40-$19.50 per hour
