We are looking for an Advisor, Communications & Events, level II, who will help implement creative event strategies to deliver inspiring experiences for over 3,000 technology and Intact Lab employees across Canada.
Reporting to the Manager, Tech+Lab Communications, your organizational skills, project coordination skills, thoroughness, creativity and versatility will be essential in executing impactful event concepts with passion and precision.
As part of Intact's Corporate Communications team, the Tech+Lab Communications team is responsible, among other things, for the creation and implementation of numerous large-scale, high-visibility internal and external events. We organize activities and events for employees and managers (including monthly or quarterly information meetings, recognition events, informal exchanges and forums with senior management, sharing of technical expertise, etc.), as well as external events designed to raise awareness of Tech+Lab teams and promote our brand as an employer of choice in technology.
Dedicated to providing quality communication services to Intact's COO, over fifteen senior executives and some 3,000 technology experts, our team values generosity, excellence, and respect, all while having a good time. Collaborate with Tech+Lab managers and employees and a wide range of stakeholders to develop high-quality events.
Propose innovative and creative event concepts to support the Tech+Lab management team's strategic objectives, while reinforcing employees' sense of belonging and engagement.
Help with the planning, and coordinate and execute all logistical and material aspects related to the development and implementation of internal events.
Prepare detailed timetables to effectively demonstrate project progress.
Contribute to the achievement of event objectives while respecting budgets and timelines.
Create and develop all content required for events (e.g., presentation, video, quiz, printing, promotional items, etc.), with the help of internal and external suppliers, as required.
In collaboration with Tech+Lab Communications team, handle the drafting and dissemination of event-related communications.
Collaborate with internal and external technical teams to ensure high-quality in-person and virtual experiences.
Assist with meeting room coordination and catering management.
Support facilitators and presenters in the preparation of their interventions.
Be present on site at events and help ensure that they run smoothly.
Measure and evaluate the spinoff of events (debrief, satisfaction surveys, etc.) and suggest improvements where necessary.
Listen, advise, and assist internal customers in the organization of their events.
Help with the planning and execution of external events for Tech+Lab teams and/or their executives, in collaboration with HR teams.
Keep abreast of best practices and trends in event organization and make suggestions for the implementation of ever more innovative and engaging activities.
Contribute to various other tasks or projects, depending on the team's mandates and your skills.

Undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or an appropriate discipline
Two to three years of experience in a similar position in the event, communication, marketing and/or public relations sectors
Experience in a large company, an asset
Knowledge and confidence in using web and mobile solutions to make events more interactive and engaging for participants
Knowledge of the Office 365 Suite
Comfortable using graphic or video production/editing tools (such as Photoshop or Canva), an asset
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country
