We are currently seeking a Professional Business Writer-to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a professional with strong business writing and financial analysis skills who thrives in a flexible, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and draft high-quality Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) / Business Overview that highlight the strengths, operations, and value of businesses.
- Blogs / Content /brochures / marketing material
- Collaborate / interview with sellers, brokers, and agents to gather, clarify, and validate essential business information.
- Analyze and summarize financial data, operational insights, and market opportunities in a professional and concise format.
- Work with sellers who may have limited availability or incomplete information, demonstrating persistence, patience, and professionalism.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to create, edit, and format documents effectively.
- Conduct market research and incorporate relevant insights into CIMs to enhance their depth and quality.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the firm’s standards for accuracy and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in business writing, financial reporting, or a related field is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills, capable of meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with business owners and brokers.
- Familiarity with business valuation, financial analysis, and M&A processes is an asset.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Having design experience is an asset.
- Fluent in English.
