Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Usability Researcher with user research experience, experience working on quick turnaround projects and experience with writing reports and working with various teams, to place at our client, a multinational technology corporation.

Job Description:
The main function of the Usability Researcher in this role is to conduct qualitative research on a wide variety of products within AI, including understanding customers’ needs, preferences, and behaviors related to a product or service while collaborating closely with the product team. The researcher is responsible for conducting quick-turnaround studies, documenting the output, and analyzing the data to generate insights and recommendations.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of products and projects from around the organization, providing significant variety in the work.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct usability studies with customers to understand their workflows, pain points, goals, and motivations.
- Document the output of the interviews in a well-organized and detailed manner.
- Analyze the qualitative data to identify patterns, themes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create reports to communicate the findings and recommendations to engineers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the research insights are incorporated into the development process.
Required qualifications:
- 3-7 years of experience working as a UX Researcher on consumer products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or equivalent experience.
- Verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer empathy.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong ability to work independently and to manage one’s time.
- Ability to work quickly and to juggle tasks.
- Expertise in qualitative research methods, such as interviewing, benchmarking studies, usability testing (moderated and unmoderated).
- Proficiency in qualitative data analysis.
- Experience in creating compelling presentations and reports using tools such as PowerPoint and Word.
Top 3 Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with user research.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with working on multiple quick turnaround projects.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with writing reports and working with teams.
