Job Title: ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ESL Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, a deep understanding of teaching methodologies, and the ability to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment for students whose first language is not English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to students’ language proficiency levels.
- Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, using a variety of instructional techniques and resources.
- Assess students' progress through regular evaluations, assignments, and exams.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and curriculum development.
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, performance, and progress.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field (required).
- OCELT/CTSOL/ICTEL certification (preferably from TESL Ontario required).
- Proven experience teaching ESL/EFL students, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of language acquisition principles and teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching and cultural exchange.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s/ Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
- Experience teaching students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Familiarity with technology-enhanced language instruction tools and platforms.
