Job Title: ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher

Location: Mississauga

Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time/Contract

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ESL Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, a deep understanding of teaching methodologies, and the ability to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment for students whose first language is not English.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to students’ language proficiency levels.
Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, using a variety of instructional techniques and resources.
Assess students' progress through regular evaluations, assignments, and exams.
Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and curriculum development.
Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, performance, and progress.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field (required).
OCELT/CTSOL/ICTEL certification (preferably from TESL Ontario required).
Proven experience teaching ESL/EFL students, preferably in a classroom setting.
Strong understanding of language acquisition principles and teaching strategies.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching and cultural exchange.
