Overview
W Burger Bar is looking for an experienced server who is interested in working the lunch shift 11am-4pm Monday-Friday. The ideal candidate has a proven record of building guest rapport and fostering repeat business. This person should be highly efficient with exceptional time management skills and multitasking abilities.
Duties
- Greet and seat customers promptly, presenting menus and providing information about daily specials.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sanitizing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all drink menu recipes
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple tables while providing attentive service.
Requirements
- Previous serving experience. Bartending experience is an asset but not required
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order entry and payment processing is advantageous.
- Strong ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift items as needed within the restaurant setting.
