We are presently accepting resumes for a number of
Permanent Part-Time Support Workers to work on in our group homes in
Barrie.
Compensation Package
These positions will be assigned to our Permanent Asleep Night line working 7 shifts bi-weekly. Flat rate of $202.00 for asleep portion of shift.
- Pay rates depend on qualified education with the qualified rate starting at: $25.32/hour;
- 11 paid Statutory Holidays;

Following The Successful Completion Of Probation
- Employer paid health and life insurance; employee/employer paid dental;

- Group RRSP with 100% employer matched contributions up to 4% of gross earnings;
Minimum Qualifications
- Developmental Service Worker diploma or an acceptable educational equivalency (Child and Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Worker, Nursing, Psychology, etc.) as determined by the employer is required;
- When submitting your resume and cover letter, please also upload a copy of your diplomas / degrees. In your resume, please ensure that you specify the length of your programs; Candidates who have a completed Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university in an unrelated field must have 2 years full-time work experience directly supporting people;
- Ability to work weekends and holidays;
- Ability to attend team meetings and training as required during daytime hours;
- A valid class "G" driver's license and own reliable transportation is an asset;
Role/Duties
Our Direct Support Workers provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities with all aspects of daily living within a group home setting. Responsibilities may include providing support during overnight shifts, personal care, household duties, meal preparation and finances. You may also support people to appointments or events to foster connections within the community.
