Hedgehog Technologies is a premier electrical engineering consulting firm working on innovative and complex projects across industries. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Sales Coordinator to support our sales lead and principal engineer in driving growth through the preparation and submission of RFPs, managing leads, and engaging with new prospects.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has experience in proposal coordination, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment. This position is integral to the sales and business development process, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and delivers high-quality responses to client opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- RFP Coordination: Assist in the preparation, submission, and follow-up of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other business opportunities.
- Document Management: Collect, organize, and maintain all necessary documents for RFP responses, including forms, certifications, and project references.
- Client Engagement: Follow up with prospects and clients to ensure timely communication, address inquiries, and provide updates.
- Lead Management: Track and monitor leads in the CRM system, ensuring all opportunities are documented and prioritized.
- Team Support: Provide administrative support to the sales lead, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining sales pipelines.
- Process Improvement: Identify and suggest ways to improve efficiency in the sales and proposal development process.
- Market Research: Assist in identifying and researching potential clients and market trends to support business development efforts.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or proposal coordination role, preferably in consulting or engineering.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with experience tailoring messages to a technical or professional audience.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing documents, managing timelines, and ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Education: BA/BSc in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent experience in proposal development will also be considered.
- Team Player: Collaborative, supportive, and comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment.
