We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Social Worker (MSW) to join our practice. This position is ideal for a therapist with specialized training and a passion for working with clients who have experienced trauma.
Trauma may include adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), relational or attachment trauma, such as inconsistent caregiving, neglect, or emotional unavailability. It may also include abuse, medical trauma, and significant life transitions such as loss, grief, or fertility challenges.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide 50-minute psychotherapy sessions to adolescents (14+), adults, and/or couples through both online and in-person services at our Leslieville location (Carlaw and Dundas).
- Commit to a minimum of two, 6-hour in-person shifts per week, with the option to add additional hybrid (online and in-person) shifts.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of client sessions using the Jane practice management system.

- EMDR Certification Support: Receive advanced guidance and supervision in EMDR therapy from the clinical director, an EMDR Consultant, along with the opportunity to work toward EMDR certification.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university.
- Registration: Registered and in good standing with the OCSWSSW.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of providing psychotherapy in a clinical setting.
- Specialized Training: Training in trauma treatment modalities, such as EMDR, IFS, Ego State Therapy, ACT, AEDP, TF-CBT, Somatic Experiencing, Hypnosis, and/or Yoga.
- Insurance: Proof of professional liability insurance (can be purchased upon hiring).
- In-Person Work: Willingness to work two in-person shifts (6 hours per shift) at our Leslieville location. At least one evening or weekend shift is required.
- Term Commitment: Commitment to a 12-month term of practice.
- Content Creation: Interest in creating content (reels, articles, etc.) to support the practice's mission and growth is an asset.
- Online Therapy Skills: Experience providing online therapy with a clear understanding of ethical considerations.
- Values Alignment: Shared values of innovation, trauma-informed practice, genuineness, empowerment, community, and anti-oppressive practice.
- Cultural Competency: Ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those who identify as LGBTQIA+ or BIPOC.
- Client Caseload Development: Comfort in gradually building a client caseload.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with or willingness to learn the Jane Practice Management System. Excellent email communication skills and familiarity with Gmail.
- Professional Growth: Commitment to ongoing professional development and advancing clinical skills.
