CONDITIONS
- WORK LOCATION: Onsite
- PAY RATE: $30.09/hour + premium for the Afternoon shift ($0.75)
- SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 10 PM
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect the receiving area, equipment, trucks, and loads to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization.
- Verify cleaning documentation for all trucks, tankers, and received goods.
- Ensure required paperwork is complete and matches Purchase Orders (P.O.) and packing slips.
- Follow the Allergen Awareness policy when moving or storing ingredients.
- Report substandard or defective ingredients/packaging to Quality Control.
- Document and store returned goods according to the "Returned Goods Procedures."
- Arrange Full Truck Load (FTL) quotes and pickups.
- Distribute picking slips with clear order preferences to designated pickers.
- Load trucks following documented shipping inspection procedures.
- Obtain signed shipping documentation from truckers or customer receivers.
- Perform quarterly inventory counts and adjust computer records for returned, damaged, or spilled items.
- Control pallet and drum inventory for returns, production, or disposal.
- Release refrigerated and frozen items from inventory for production use.
- Alert Quality Control for critical ingredients, substandard finished products, or defective materials.
- Report equipment issues, such as tow motors or lift trucks, to the maintenance team.
- Supply Quality Control with requested packaging or ingredients.
- Train shipping and receiving team members as needed.
- Ensure team adherence to company programs (H&S, GMP, HACCP, Allergen Program, etc.).
- Supply the Production Department with ingredients and packaging as required.
- Maintain a daily shipping schedule and prepare for upcoming activities.
- Report order errors to the Purchasing Department.
- Ensure all items are stored on pallets and kept off the floor.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver’s license with AZ/DZ designation with a CVOR
- Valid Reach forklift license.
- 2-3 years’ experience working in a high-volume warehouse, within both shipping and receiving departments.
- Good communication skills
- Experience working with ERP system
- Experience leading a team and working to deadlines
