East Toronto Therapy is a private practice located on the Danforth in Toronto and virtually. We provide psychotherapy and sex therapy services to individuals and couples; our work focuses on relationship and sexual health concerns, anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma, life transitions.
Your Opportunity: Accepting this associate position means joining a growing private practice that provides generalized psychotherapy and specializes in sex and relationship therapy. As an associate therapist, you play an important role on our team and reflect the importance we place on respect, kindness, relationship, vulnerability, commitment to professional growth and ethical practice as well as evidence-based and trauma-informed care. The Associate role involves providing psychotherapy to couples and individuals, actively engaging with clinical and peer supervision, maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards in practice. Benefits include ongoing clinical supervision, referrals, office space, use of a practice management system (Jane), and the opportunity to grow into a full time caseload if desired. 10-20 hours (flexible) of direct client work per week, over 2-5 days.

Qualifications: Master's degree and member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
Professional liability insurance
Minimum 2 years of experience providing clinical counselling / psychotherapy to clients
Knowledge of evidence-based clinical interventions; proficiency in EFT, CBT and/or mindfulness and trauma-informed care an asset
Clinical skills in assessment, formulation, and treatment planning
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice
Experience with or interest in sex therapy and couples therapy
Completion of EFT Externship (or agreement to complete EFT Externship within 6 months of beginning contract with East Toronto Therapy)
Experience providing psychotherapy to couples an asset but not required
Some evening or weekend availability
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Sound judgement, sensitivity, flexibility and initiative for engaging and working with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
Ability to work independently and within a team
Familiarity with technology and practice management software
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and client intakes
Deliver continuous clinical counseling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples
Conduct initial consultations as needed, to help clients determine goodness of fit
Maintain patient records with a strong commitment to confidentiality
Ensure compliance with agency requirements, college standards of practice and proficient data recording

Pay: $60.00-$95.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
