Job Description
- Attend daily pre-flight safety briefings with crewmembers
- Ensure the safety, security and comfort of all passengers
- Ensure all safety, security and emergency equipment is quality checked prior to departure and monitored during the flight
- Explain safety procedures, demonstrate the use of emergency equipment, direct passengers in event of emergency
- Verbally complete all onboard announcements in English
- Provide onboard service of snacks and beverages, and ensure that all necessary supplies are onboard
- Administer first aid to passengers as required
- Submit reports on the cabin condition, any medical situations or safety/security events that may have occurred during the flight
- Honor and contribute to Pacific Coastal Airlines safety culture and safety reporting system
- Follow and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with Pacific Coastal Airlines and regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned by Cabin Safety Leader ship
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Customer Service experience (minimum 2 years)
- Possession of valid Canadian Passport or proof of citizenship (actual document)
- Possession of valid Birth Certificate (actual document)
- Must be able to obtain a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identity Card (criminal background check)
- Excellent English language skills in written and oral communication
- Second language is NOT required
- Be equipped, healthy and fit for the physical demands of the position
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Capable of working long hours for extended periods of time
- Comfortable working onboard single Flight Attendant aircraft and small cabin environment
- Must be a minimum height of 5'2" and maximum height of 5’11”in order to complete all standards required
- Must work independently without supervision
- Must be 21 years or older
- Able to travel away from home, with flexible schedule changes and on-call duty days that require you to reach the airport within 90 minute callouts
- Must successfully complete an intensive Flight Attendant Initial Training Program (approximately 4 – 5 weeks and includes practical evacuation emergency drills, first aid and live firefighting)
- Flight Attendant Initial Training commences March 24, 2025
