Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in our Etobicoke/Mississauga office for a Litigation and Dispute Resolution Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing estate litigation files and providing legal services and advice to clients under the supervision and mentorship of the partners.
For more seasoned candidates, senior level positions would be considered with an opportunity to lead and coach juniors.

Duties include :
preparing application records, affidavits, attending and preparing for motions, negotiating settlements, attending mediations, issuing demand letters;

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized institution
- Good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO)
- Experience and exposure to estates, trusts, wills, power of attorney, capacity matters
- Experience with estate planning, probate applications, trust administration, guardianship applications, and power of attorney work is an asset
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
- Strong negotiation, advocacy, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively to manage a busy caseload with supervision
- Commitment to client-focused service and developing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines
