POSITION DESCRIPTION – TALENT COORDINATOR
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reports to: Senior Manager, Global Talent
Location: Vancouver preferred
POSITION SUMMARY
The Talent Coordinator will be responsible for supporting talent management processes with strong focus on recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding for our corporate employees, as well as supporting the Senior Manager, Global Talent with expatriate positions for our mine sites in Greece, Türkiye, and Quebec. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers, HR personnel, and external partners to ensure efficient and effective talent acquisition practices and an inclusive employee experience. The Talent Coordinator will manage job postings, screen candidates, schedule interviews, support the onboarding and offboarding processes, and support other talent management processes as recruitment activities permit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Talent Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Job Posting and Advertising:
- Create and post job advertisements on various platforms including company website, job boards, and social media.
- Working closely with hiring leaders to create position descriptions that are accurate and align with company standards and requirements.
Candidate Sourcing and Screening:
- Utilize various sourcing methods to attract potential candidates (e.g., online databases, networking, employee referrals).
- Manage the LinkedIn Corporate Recruiter account ensuring its effective use for sourcing top talent, optimizing recruitment strategies, and maintaining up-to-date profiles to enhance our employer brand and attract qualified candidates globally.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Conduct initial screens to evaluate candidate fit for the role and company culture.
Interview Coordination:
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Prepare and distribute interview schedules, guides and supporting materials to interviewers.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely feedback and communication.
Onboarding & Offboarding Support:
- Take ownership of ensuring a seamless onboarding process and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment cycle.
- Assist in the preparation of onboarding materials and welcome packages.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientations and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Collaborate with HR to facilitate smooth transitions for new employees.
- Provide support with immigration processes as needed to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
- Support offboarding processes as needed to ensure compliance and employee experience.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- High accountability for maintaining timely and accurate core employee life cycle data.
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the recruitment process.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers and HR team members to understand hiring needs and priorities.
- Act as a point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and industry conferences as needed.
- Track and report on recruitment metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement for regular check-ins with hiring leaders.
International Coordination:
- Collaborate with corporate offices in Vancouver and Amsterdam to support global recruitment strategies.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between international teams to ensure consistency in hiring practices.
- Support the implementation of global talent acquisition initiatives.
Additional Support:
- Provide administrative support in various HR projects and tasks to ensure smooth operation within the HR department, with a focus on talent management and employee experience.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- Prior experience in recruitment or human resources required.
- Experience in global mobility and/or expatriate recruitment would be considered an asset but not required.
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
- Skilled in leveraging technology to its fullest potential; SAP SuccessFactors experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using recruitment platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable and effective in a dynamic work environment, managing a variety of tasks with ease.
