As an HR Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the Senior HR Manager, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and ensure the smooth execution of HR processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain employee records in the HRIS system (Rippling), and ensure compliance with employment standards and company policies
- Support recruitment efforts by coordinating the interview process for teams across the company, conducting phone screens for prospective candidates when necessary
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including pre-hire employee communication for global employees
- Address routine employee concerns and inquiries, escalating more complex employee relations cases to the Senior HR Manager
- Assist in the development and communication of HR policies and procedures
- Oversee office day bookings, coordinate employee events and engagement activities to foster a positive work environment
- Provide administrative support as needed
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1-2 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in onboarding and recruiting
- Experience working in a startup environment - preferably in the tech, social media, or entertainment industries
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing start-up environment
- High attention to detail, organized, problem-solver, critical thinker and multi-tasker
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and suggesting solutions
- Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficient with G-Suite or related software, Rippling or multiple HRIS & ATS experience is a plus
Pay Scale
- $50,000 - $60,000 CAD per year
