Job Summary
Assists servers in providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service to restaurant guests by clearing, cleaning, setting buffet and performing miscellaneous tasks in a timely manner.

Starting Wage for the position will be CA$17.20 on probation and will increase to CA$19.39 after probation is completed. Further after 6 months the rate will increase to CA$19.89
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year food & beverage experience in a Hotel or related industry.
- Post-secondary degree in tourism or food & beverage.
- Food Safe certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of guests, employees and management.
- Excellent organizational, computer, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift weight up to 70 pounds.
Daily Tasks
- Clears, wipes it clean and sets buffet according to standards of each meal period in a timely manner.
- Ensure buffet is properly stocked with food & beverage at the proper temperature and looks right in appearance to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assists Restaurant Servers as directed by them.
- Maintains the work area in a clean and orderly manner. Sets up, checks cleanliness of the assigned sections and stocks workstations.
- Promotes guest relations by greeting the guest warmly, engaging the guest in conversation and using the guests’ names whenever possible, using proper etiquette.
- Follows proper dish pit procedures by sorting glass, linen, silver and china in its assigned places, as well as recycling procedures.
- Completes all side work including cleaning & setting buffet, polishing cutlery & glasses and folding napkins for the next shift.
- Establishes guest contact and resolves guest complaints using empowerment guidelines with management approval. Communicates any work-related issues, conflicts, incidents and accidents to management in a timely manner.
- Attends all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
- Checks bulletin board frequently for posted memos, schedules, announcements and other information, also reads and maintains kitchen board updated for daily specials and out of stock items, confirming it with management.
- Reports to work on time and in uniform as scheduled, follows call-in procedures, notifies, and/or gets authorization from management before leaving workstation.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Management.
