Duties
- Maintains responsibility for the ordering, receiving (directly from the vendor) and re-stocking of implants and non-stock items on the unit
- Collaborates with IR Operations Lead or delegate, Inventory Supervisor, and Senior Buyer in communication of any supply chain issues
- Responds to and resolves concerns regarding par level, back ordered, overstocked, damaged, expired or sub-standard product, within scope of authority
- Collaborates with IR Operations Lead or delegate, CPD, Inventory Supervisor, Senior Buyer and Vendor to coordinate the availability of loaner and consignment trial and reusable medical devices
- Maintains responsibility for the ordering, receiving, reconciliation and return of loaner equipment
- Assists IR Operations Lead and Division Heads with maintenance of accurate par levels and documentation. Including: daily inventory, loaner equipment, and trial evaluation requirements
- Liaises with CPD and Surgical Instrument Group, Vendors, IR Operations Lead to ensure required inventory is processed and documented appropriately
- Collaborates with IR Operations Lead, radiologists and frontline nursing/MRT staff to ensure accurate reconciliation of implant counts
Qualifications
- Completion of a college diploma program, in relevant discipline or recognized equivalent
- Two (2) years related experience in medical imaging, operating room, hospital environment, and/or medical office environment, preferred
- Completion of Operating Room related courses, preferred
- Experience in interventional radiology, preferred
- Experience in an OR/interventional setting, an asset
- Ability to preform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines
- Ability to handle frequent changes to volume of work and priority of tasks with short notice
- Exercise initiative and good judgement with the ability to multi-task
- Compliance with confidentiality requirements
- Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
