Responsibilities
Front Desk Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Schedule and confirm appointments and manage the schedule efficiently.
- handle phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries professionally.
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Collect payments and assist with billing inquiries.
- Verify insurance information and process claims.
- Ensure the waiting area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
- Assist in maintaining office supplies and inventory for the dental practice.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the office.
Clinical Assistance:
- Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and efficient workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to the latest IPAC protocols.
- Take intraoral and panoramic x-rays using Dexis and take intraoral photographs.
- Knowledge of Steritraces an asset.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate records using Abeldent software.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental assisting or front desk role is required.
- Proficiency in using Abeldent is preferred.
- Excellent command of the English language is required.
- Strong understanding of terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Familiarity with phone systems and basic office equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration is a plus.
- CDA level I or II and HARP certified

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
