Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, networks, and software for employees. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of hardware and software systems, and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, or in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues related to desktop hardware, operating systems, software applications, and network connectivity.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including computers, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Assist in the setup and deployment of new software and hardware systems.
- Respond to and prioritize support requests, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of common IT issues, solutions, and tools.
- Create and update user accounts, including managing permissions and access controls.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and security patches on systems and software.
- Document and track support tickets using an IT service management (ITSM) system.
- Assist with IT projects and upgrades as needed.
- Provide end-user training on basic IT procedures and applications.
- Ensure data backup and recovery processes are followed as per company policies.
- Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to improve systems and workflows.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (typically 1-3 years) in IT support or helpdesk roles.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications (Microsoft Office, productivity tools).
- Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware issues, network connectivity problems, and printer malfunctions.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
