Job Title: UX/UI Designer

Work Arrangement: This role is primarily based in the office environment.
Position Overview
The UX/UI Designer has a crucial role in shaping the digital experience for Flair’s customers.
The UX/UI Designer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to create user-centric designs and experiences that align with our brand and business objectives.
Primary Job Functions
- Help conduct simple user research to understand customer needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Translate insights into design solutions that enhance the overall user experience.
- Incorporate a strong understanding of visual design principles to ensure research translates effectively into visually appealing and functional designs.
- Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and test design concepts.
- Iterate based on feedback and user testing to refine the user interface.
- Develop visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that align with Flair Airlines' brand guidelines.
- Ensure consistency across digital platforms and devices.
- Leverage a strong understanding of visual design principles to deliver high-quality designs that resonate with users.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and fellow designers.
- Participate in design critiques, workshops, and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Assist in usability testing to gather feedback on designs and incorporate insights into the design process.
- Continuously iterate and improve designs based on testing outcomes.
- Ensure seamless user experiences by understanding the e-commerce product and its various touchpoints.
Secondary Job Functions
- Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions, share insights, and bring forth fresh perspectives. Collaborate with colleagues to fuel a culture of innovation and excellence in digital design.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating design workshops, encouraging team collaboration, and fostering an environment that promotes creative thinking and problem-solving.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to personal and professional growth. Stay abreast of industry trends, attend relevant training sessions, and bring newfound knowledge back to the team.
- Engage with team members to build a positive and motivating work atmosphere. Foster open communication and a sense of camaraderie within the digital design team. Bridge the gap between design and other departments, promoting a holistic understanding of the importance of user experience and interface design in achieving overall business objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
The preferred candidate should exemplify Flair's core values of Respect, Integrity, Reliability, and Resilience while demonstrating success in previous roles. Additionally, we are seeking individuals who possess:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years’ experience in the field or equivalent.
- Portfolio showcasing relevant design projects and demonstrating a strong understanding of UX/UI principles.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Solid understanding of mobile-first and responsive design principles.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Miro, Jira, Clickup, or similar.
- Basic understanding of front-end development technologies and their impact on design.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with full English proficiency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and design methodologies.
- Demonstrate a curiosity and eagerness to explore new ideas, methodologies, and technologies within the realm of digital design.
- Embrace change and demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to evolving project requirements and team dynamics.
- Show initiative in taking on additional responsibilities related to team-building activities and contribute positively to the overall work culture.
