Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller / Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.
Duties & Skills
- Perform account reconciliations and account analysis.
- Assist with year-end working papers and coordinate with external auditors.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, proformas.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Managing day-to-day financial operations.
- Preparation of financial statements for multiple partnerships, corporations, trusts and general partners.
- Review and file, monthly, quarterly, and annual GST.
- Liaison with external accountants, lawyers, Partners, and Vendors- Review property management financials, then consolidate transactions.
- Review and check investor distributions for correctness- Review and assist with coding and preparing invoices for correctness.
- Prepare payroll submission.
- Other duties and ad hoc
- Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing of new processes.
Requirements:
- Full-time based position
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in similar roles as an asset like Real estate experience, Banking, Auditing or other related financial institution experiences preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge with Sage Intacct an asset
- Proficiency in financial management and software (e.g.Sage 300 / INTACCT/ Quickbook)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Note:
- Experience with Sage INTACCT, Accounting reconciliation, account analysis, financial analysis is required for this position
Compensations:

- Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
