THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an opportunity for a Fee Administrator to join our award-winning firm in the Vancouver office.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will work in a collaborative environment setting up fee-based accounts. You will be responsible for providing exemplary service to internal clients and advisory groups by ensuring fee information is complete and accurate, in accordance with regulatory compliance. This role reports to a people leader within the Client Services team and works closely with our Investment Advisors, Assistants and other Client Services departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Review and input fees and process adjustments to fee charges
· Reconcile fees in accordance with fee model and structure
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fee structure model to administer account fees
· Ensure standard operating procedures are followed and service level agreements are met in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
· Deliver client service excellence to Investment Advisors and Assistants by responding to inquiries accurately and in a timely manner
· Identify opportunities to streamline processes for operational efficiencies and collaborate with team members to document new and existing processes
· Engage in continuous learning and development to increase knowledge as a fee expert
· Participate in cross-functional department reporting and projects
· Participate in training new and existing colleagues and assistants on fee-based accounts
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of one year of investment industry experience in New Accounts, Registered Accounts, Client Services, Compliance or similar function
- University degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business is an asset
- Proven experience in serving clients in a professional services environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and skilled at working efficiently and accurately
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize important and time-sensitive tasks
- Self-starter with the capacity to work independently, along with flexibility and willingness to assist others
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise good judgement and decision-making within a policy and regulatory framework
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Experience with Broadridge’s Dataphile, Pure Fees platform or similar bookkeeping system is an asset
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course or other investment-related courses is an asset
