Working under the general supervision of the Assistant Dean, Wellness, Recreation, & Sport, the incumbent is responsible for administrative support, program planning and coordination of the Healthy Campus Initiative. The Healthy Campus Administrative Coordinator supports the daily operations of the program; supports the Assistant Dean with scheduling, coordinating meetings, plans programming activities and projects with various stakeholders; coordinates the tracking of projects, activities and initiatives; records minutes; generates reports; drafts presentation materials; monitors projects budgets; supervises work-study students; and monitors and maintains the healthy campus website.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and implementing components of curricular and/or co-curricular programs and activities
- Liaising with students and faculty to coordinate program activities
- Handling sensitive and/or confidential information
- Collating and organizing data for various reports
- Drafting presentation materials
- Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items
- Monitoring accounts for a project and/or program
- Assigning and checking the work of work-study students
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum four years of related experience, that includes 3 years of experience in administrative support and 1 year of experience in program coordination related to one or more of the healthy campus pillars
- Experience coordinating events for diverse audiences
- Demonstrated understanding of the healthy campus initiative and the healthy campus pillars
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and various social media platforms
- Working knowledge of design software e.g. Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, WordPress, Photoshop
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of initiative and creativity
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Tact, diplomacy and good judgement
