We are seeking a Java Production Support professional to join our dynamic team in a hybrid work environment. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the stability and performance of our Java-based applications in a production setting. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues that arise in our applications, which serve a critical function for our business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development and production support, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
Coordinates and facilitates triaging issues across application environments.
- Excellent communication and trouble shooting skills.
- Provides initial T2/T3 triage of issues, investigation and ensures fast turnaround times on issue/incident resolution, collaborates and engages with the appropriate areas and squads across Intact.
- Coordinates with CL/SL squads, IT, departmental leaders and vendors to resolve complex issues/malfunctions, responsible for the following: Defining and scoping the issue.
- Analyzes the problem and identifying root case.
- Conducts an options' analysis of potential solutions, with a recommendation.
- Maintains in-depth working knowledge of the applications and user workflows (role include multiple systems).
- Maintains working knowledge of interfaces and integration.
- Maintains working knowledge of integrated tools and processes.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT/application support using Java - Spring Boot, Angular - TypeScript and Oracle - PL/SQL.
- Strong understanding of support and operations practice, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
- Proficiency in Java frameworks, such as Spring and Hibernate.
What will help you stand out (preferred skills)
- Familiarity with GitHub - Maven – Jenkins, OpenShift (OCP) , Dynatrace is a plus.
- Experience in ServiceNow is a plus
