TEEMA's engineering client is seeking a Office Administrator/Receptionist to join the team on a contract basis.
Overview
- Start date: January 13th, 2025
- End Date: March 10th, 2025
- Location: 100% on-site in Burnaby
- Rate: $25 + 4% vacation pay
Responsibilities
Facilities Management
- Oversee office facilities and ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
- Manage vendor relationships, building services, and contracts, including renewals and payments.
- Plan office layouts, coordinate moves, and handle renovations with leadership.
- Serve as the primary contact for security systems, emergency protocols, and access management.
General Office Support/Administration
- Perform reception duties, including handling phone calls, mail, and couriers.
- Maintain office supplies and ensure meeting rooms and shared spaces are clean and functional.
- Support onboarding processes and administer staff programs such as parking and transit.
- Manage office equipment, arrange repairs, and oversee inventory systems.
Health and Safety
- Act as the primary first aid contact and fire marshal, ensuring protocols are up-to-date.
- Maintain emergency contact lists and oversee safety compliance in the office.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in office administration or a similar role.
- Willingness to work on-site
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong communication skills.
- First Aid certification (preferred)
