Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Boom Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating boom trucks and cranes to lift, move, and position materials at various job sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Operate boom trucks and cranes to lift and transport materials as required by project specifications.
- Rig loads securely to ensure safe transport and handling.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to plan lifts and coordinate operations effectively.
- Communicate clearly with ground crew and other operators to ensure safety during operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or site personnel.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating cranes, boom trucks, and forklifts.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to rigging and equipment operation.
- Ability to build and rig loads securely for safe lifting.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus for effective communication in diverse environments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in all operations.
