Position Overview:
We're seeking a dynamic Retention Marketing Specialist to drive our customer retention strategies though: email marketing, SMS campaigns, loyalty program and giving initiatives. This role is crucial in nurturing relationships with our community of parents and parents-to-be, creating meaningful connections that turn customers into brand advocates.
Key Responsibilities:
Email Marketing:
• Develop and execute strategic email marketing campaigns that drive engagement, sales and list size to support Ecommerce and Business to Business divisions
• Use basic graphic design skills to allow for updates to templates and creative within email platform and/or Canva
• Continued analysis and reporting of email flows, KPI targets and goal setting
• Create segmented email flows for different customer journeys (pregnancy stages, new parents, gift-givers)
• Write compelling email copy that resonates with our warm, supportive brand voice
• Ensure email programs are compliant with all applicable legislation
• Analyze email performance metrics and optimize campaigns accordingly
• Manage our email calendar and ensure timely deployment of all communications
SMS Marketing:
• Design and implement SMS marketing strategies that complement our email efforts
• Create engaging, concise SMS content that drives action
• Manage opt-in growth strategies and maintain compliance with messaging regulations
• Monitor SMS campaign performance and ROI
Loyalty & Ambassador Program Management:
• Oversee and optimize our customer loyalty program
• Create engaging rewards and incentives that encourage repeat purchases
• Develop strategies to increase program enrollment and engagement
• Analyze member behavior and implement retention strategies
• Design special perks and experiences for VIP customers
Company Giving
· Coordinate with our giving partners to maximize collaboration opportunities and increase awareness of efforts to increase customer affinity to our brand
Copy Writing
• Generally support the business by developing copy that supports the brand positioning and strategy that will be used in various touchpoints to ensure consistency across email, SMS, etc
General Tasks
• Project manage applicable aspects of partnership programs and collaborations to ensure consistency, timelines and excellence in execution
• Collaborate with external retail partners and distributors to increase list size, execute contests and other tasks as required
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in email marketing and CRM
• Excellent writing skills in English with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong understanding of email, CRM and SMS marketing best practices
• Excellence in copywriting with an emotional connection
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
• Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems
• Willingness to collaborate in a dynamic and changing environment
Desired Skills:
• Experience with consumer-based ecommerce
• Understanding of customer lifecycle marketing
• Knowledge of marketing automation tools
• Experience with A/B testing and optimization
• Strong project management abilities
• Experience with Klayvio, Canva, Shopify and Google Analytics
• Google workspace, and MS Office
• Experience in a cross border business that operates in multiple languages and currencies
