About Us:
Fostering Debate Talent (FDT) is Canada’s premier Debate and Public Speaking academy. FDT was founded with the primary goal of helping young people argue effectively for their beliefs and discover their passion for public speaking. We are seeking highly motivated, organized individuals. Though the position upholds a 3-month probationary period, our intention is to find the right candidate who can excel in this position, and transition to become a permanent employee at FDT.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Sales Representative to promote and sell our debate and public speaking programs. This is a commission-based role with a draw against a commission structure, offering the potential for high earnings. You will receive paid training to ensure you are equipped with the knowledge and tools to succeed.
Key Duties:
- Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and promote FDT Academy's programs.
- Generate leads through various channels, including networking, referrals, and outreach.
- Maintain regular follow-up with leads and clients to build strong relationships.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
- Educate families about the benefits of debate and public speaking for their children.
- Collaborate with the team to refine sales strategies and approaches.
Requirements:
- Canadian citizen, or eligible to work in Canada.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
- Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset.
- Passion for education and a belief in the value of debate and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Additional Value:
- Proficiency in Mandarin an asset.
- Experience with WeChat an asset.
- Previous experience working in an administrative setting.
- Previous experience working with youth and/or students.
