Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various stainless steel welding techniques and the ability to interpret blueprints / drawings. This role involves being able to weld custom restaurant grade stainless steel equipment and understand specifications and requirements needed to provide top quality product.
Duties
- Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques on various materials. .
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and drawings to determine project specifications.
- Help build and assemble components according to design requirements.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
- Double and triple check designs specifications and measurements before commencing cutting.
- Fit, braze and torch-straighten material
- Maintain and perform minor repairs i.e. welding, brazing and soldering
- Grinding and finishing to complete products.
- Help move materials around the facility, load and unload deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety guidelines.
Skills
- Knowledge in a variety of equipment and machinery used for stainless steel materials.
- Strong understanding of basic math principles for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with calipers and other measuring tools for precision work.
- Competent in using hand tools effectively in a welding environment.
- Able to operate range of welding equipment depending on job
- Can trouble shoot issues as they arise
