Job Title: Finance - Financial Analyst - Intermediate
Duration: 6 Months plus possible extensions
Line of Business: Centralized management reporting team - supports every BU throughout the bank - responsible for the collection, preparation and interpretation of business unit financial data

What project will this contractor be working on? BAU , day to day work. Mini assignments are common.
Potential for this contract to be extended or converted to FTE? Small possibility of FTE conversion. There is Potential for extension. For now the contract is 6 months. Extension would need to be reviewed later in the engagement.
Work Schedule (hours per week, start time): 37.5 Hours/week, 9-5 Monday to Friday. Month end has a high concentration of activity. Business days 4-14 could be heavier.
Potential for OT? Yes, near quarter end and month end.
Interview Process:
LOB will have team leads do first round of interviews. Potential for 2nd round.
These will be in person interviews on Wednesday and Thursday at CIBC Square.
Business casual for interviews in person.
Jan 15th &16th will be the interview days.
Team Size? 10 people reporting into hiring manager. LOB is ~24 total. This role will span multiple SBU's giving lots of exposure and experience. This is a very tight knit team that helps each other.

Job Description:
The Financial Analyst, Reporting is responsible for preparing and interpreting reports that present operating results and other performance information. This role involves consolidating daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data. The analyst applies comprehensive knowledge and professional analytical skills to summarize and interpret results, providing insights that support business decisions. Additionally, the position requires ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place and exercising independent judgment within defined procedures. Collaboration with various cross-functional teams and business partners is essential to gather necessary data and enhance reporting processes, making strong analytical, technical, and communication skills vital for success in this role.
How You’ll Succeed:
- Reporting: Provide reporting and insightful analytical support to CIBC Strategic Business Units and/or CIBC Lines of Business. Responsible for the development and maintenance of Reporting models and Reports to support deliverables for our Finance Business Support partners.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing the reports that are produced with a view to rationalize, standardize, optimize, and digitize.
- Collaboration: Develop and maintain productive and collaborative internal business partner/stakeholder relationships.
- Value Add: Contribute to a high-performing team environment by optimizing individual capabilities to realize value-add reporting services for business partners.
Must Have Requirement:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or a business degree
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- 4+ years of experience in similar roles

Nice to Have:

- SAP Experience (LOB Is transitioning to SAP. Having a SME on the software is a strong nice to have)
- Previous CIBC experience or FI exp
Ability to navigate Tableau
