Why This Role Is Important
We are hiring a Strategy & Planning Analyst Co-op to support the dynamic and fast-paced, Strategy & Planning team at PC Financial & Services (PCF&S). In this role you will be responsible for performing a variety of analytical functions to provide insights and reporting for the strategy team. You will help drive business and strategic planning processes as well as monitor and track performance on key strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Research and maintain a view on the competitive landscape by compiling business intelligence and market reporting relating to the financial services, telecommunications, financial technology, and retail industries
- Coordinate and distribute monthly reports for review by PCF&S Executives
- Analyze project data and produce insights and recommendations to optimize performance
- Coordinate updates on key PCF&S projects with PCF&S leadership as required
- Support the development and consolidation of annual financial and strategic planning documents
- Contribute to project planning and overall strategic planning process
- Provide operational support such as liaising with stakeholders, tracking timelines, etc.
- Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation and reports
What You'll Need
- Pursuing a post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in Business or Finance
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Financial and analytical skills as demonstrated by the ability to conduct and interpret both qualitative and quantitative research / insights
- Strong presentation and story-telling skills (including synthesizing large concepts to key insights for Executive updates)
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative without close supervision and be comfortable with ambiguity
- Able to provide solutions by using imaginative approaches where creative thinking and innovation are required
